Julien Artinian earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Mediterranean Institute of Neuroscience (INMED) in Marseille, France, and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Montréal, Canada, and the University of Bordeaux, France.

He brings over fifteen years of experience in neurophysiology across academic and industry settings. He has led research projects using electrophysiological, behavioral, and imaging techniques to investigate the pathophysiology of synaptic transmission, plasticity, and neuronal excitability in the hippocampus and neocortex.

Julien joined Neuroservice in 2019 to establish and manage a satellite laboratory in Bordeaux, where he performs electrophysiological recordings on acute human brain slices from epileptic patients.

He currently heads the slice electrophysiology laboratories in France (Aix-en-Provence and Bordeaux), overseeing operations and leading patch-clamp research programs.
